Look no further than these delectable vegan chocolate brownies!
Perfect for afternoon tea, a cheeky snack, or a proper pudding, these brownies are so rich and fudgy you'd never guess they're completely free of animal products.
Made with our finest Whitakers chocolate (all made in the UK), they're sure to satisfy even the most discerning chocoholics.
Whether you're vegan, dairy-free, or simply looking to try something new, this recipe is an absolute corker.

Ingredients

100ml warm water

60g flaxseed

260g caster sugar

300g (Whitakers) dark chocolate raspberry squares

160g vegan butter
-
2tsp vanilla extract
-
210g plain flour (can be GF + 1/4tsp of xanthan gum)

2tsp baking powder
-
80g cocoa powder
-
Optional topping - fresh raspberries, raspberry jam and extra dark chocolate raspberry squares
Directions
Preheat oven to 180°c.
Line a 8 inch square tin with baking paper.
Combine the water and flaxseed together.
Leave for 5-10 minutes until thickened.
Break up the chocolate into a bowl and melt in the microwave in 10 second bursts, stirring in between till smooth.
Melt the butter in a pan or a microwave.
In a bowl combine the melted butter and sugar together.
Add in the flax egg, melted chocolate and vanilla.
Fold in the flour, baking powder (xanthan gum if using) and cocoa powder till all combined and smooth.
Spread the mix evenly into the tin.
If adding in the extra toppings - spoon tsp of raspberry jam across the top and use a skewer to swirl it through.
Place raspberries and pieces of chocolate randomly across the top.
Bake for 30-40 minutes till a skewer inserted in the middle comes out almost clean (you want a few bits to stick but not wet mixture).
Leave to cool completely.
